Very beautiful castle that was extensively renovated a few years ago. Rumor has it that there is a secret underground passage to the castle from a house in the old town center. It is not our house, although we have a small walled-up room in the basement where we don't know what is behind it. We have never made the effort to open the room since we have had the house (since 1993). The basic house dates from 1939

It was even open today at around 1pm. The daily menu included currywurst, schnitzel and bratwurst. A really lovely and huge beer garden (all new seating outside), very inviting and the food is delicious. Also ideal with children because there is almost no traffic and the adjacent pond is always inviting to watch frogs :-)

A beautiful place in the middle of nature where you can relax and listen to nature.

Neuenbürg Castle is a listed building in the Neuenbürg district of the Weisendorf market in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia in Bavaria. The building complex is registered as a monument in the Bavarian list of monuments under monument number D-5-72-164-21. The castle has belonged to the von Gagern family since 1872. The core of the former moated castle dates back to the 15th century. The two-story building complex was originally horseshoe-shaped and was supplemented in the 17th century with a wing to form a four-wing complex.
