After extensive refurbishment in 2009/2010, the Schwedenfrieden is now one of the "in" locations for celebrations of all kinds, hotel, event venue and popular destination. delicious beer and great climb when little traffic

This airfield with shelter 🛖 was my inspiration to hike here. Fantastic view towards Künsebeck... the view 🏞 from Künsebeck towards Jakobsberg is also very nice.

Schwedenschanze is a common popular name for old ramparts, the origin of which was not exactly known. The rampart next to the refuge is the actual Schwedenschanze and was probably only built around 1673.

Also offers space for a larger group.
