Cave, interesting and not particularly difficult to climb.

A nice end to climbing the Steinwandklamm! Flashlight is helpful.

The Steinwandklamm is a top attraction in the Pernitz area. The Rudolf-Decker-Steig is recommended for experienced climbers. The level of difficulty is A/B, sure-footedness and a head for heights are essential (be careful with children!). The climb can also be bypassed. In the upper part of the gorge is the Türkenloch, the crossing of which crowns the adventure.

Despite the relatively few difficulties, an absolutely worthwhile, spectacular, varied and above all not everyday tour that you have to experience! After an entertaining approach on the brook, we enter the picturesque Steinwandklamm with its inviting bridges and footbridges - partly connected by steep wooden stairs! From the heart of the Steinwandklamm, the Rudolf-Decker-Steig leads us through its steep walls (surprisingly problem-free) over many ladders (in the middle also an "adrenaline variant" over a long and fairly airy one possible) and through narrow caves and shafts up to the The final highlight - the Turk's hole, which is completely pitch black for a few meters (take a flashlight with you if necessary!).

In 1884 the gorge was made accessible to visitors by the Austrian Tourist Club (ÖTK) and opened on June 8 of the same year, with the participation of more than 600 guests from Vienna.

📷 11/14/2019 - Very beautiful via ferrata in the Steinwandklamm.It can be climbed without climbing equipment, but is not suitable for small children and older people. The path can only be walked from the bottom up. Fixed stable metal ladders with hand guides are available here. The Türkenloch can then be bypassed via an easier route 😊👍 The via ferrata overcomes the left boundary wall of the gorge and ends after the Türkenloch.
