The last 200 meters of ascent are only possible with crampons! Above: 360° panorama over Turkey, Iran, and Armenia – plus a fantastic view of Little Ararat. Very cold and windy depending on the season!

Depending on the provider, the tents are practical and well-equipped for a night at the high camp. The expansive view over the Ararat plain is particularly impressive, especially at sunset. There are no showers or toilets, but everything essential for the summit goal is provided.

One of the parking guards will be able to offer you a lift to the site from the restaurant and the parking lot, for €10. We spent the night there in a camper van, there are always people and it is safe.
