With a bit of luck, you might spot flamingos. I was able to take some nice photos of them.

The last stop on our tour was the 7 Springs, Epta Piges. Unfortunately, it wasn't a highlight, as we had read beforehand, as the springs were producing too little water due to the persistent drought, and the lake was barely recognizable as such. We had already suspected all of this. Instead, we did see a great restaurant with a huge outdoor dining area, which was extremely busy.

Lake Voulismeni is surrounded by a promenade with taverns and bars. The former freshwater lake was connected to the seaport by a canal in 1870.

As part of the Natura 2000 protection program, Lake Korission is the largest protected area on the island of Corfu.

In the nature reserve around Lake Korission, which covers a total of around 6,000 hectares, there is a dune landscape, some of which are higher than 15 meters, with the corresponding settlement, as well as a cedar forest. Other notable plants in the nature reserve include reed beds, tamarisks, white lilies and 14 different orchid species. The area is a magnet for various species of butterflies and birds, such as cormorants, great egrets, flamingos, wigeons and other species of ducks. Parking is practically right in front of the lake. There are lots of fish in it but you can't go swimming. A cute tavern makes up for it.
