Very nice hiking trail through pastures with cows, where you can also ride your mountain bike. Further ahead, where there are not so many cows, you can often see marmots.

Anyone who takes some time amidst the steep rock faces will experience the Gotthard myth up close. The Gotthardreuss rises at the Lucendro Pass, and after crossing Hospental it flows mostly near the old Gotthard Pass road, continuously taking in streams from both sides of the valley.

The water falls like a cascade over the rocks of the rushing Gurschenbach Falls. If you stay on the small bridge or immediately after it, you can climb the high ones absorbing and constructive forces of the water. Blanche Merz, the grand dame of Swiss geobiology, remarked: “A place of great recharging power is at the foot of a waterfall. The energy of a whirlpool is extraordinary."
