Where the nobility once ruled, the focus today is on wood products. Near the confluence of the Black and White Sulm rivers, close to the Dietmannsdorf train station, lies Welsberg Castle, originally a medieval fortified structure. Today privately owned, only a small portion of the property is occupied. Currently, there are plans for possible uses, such as a café, restaurant, seminar rooms, etc.

From Dravograd you have to pedal a lot to get to the castle, but the view you then have from above - not only of the castle - is worth it!

The origins of the castle go back to the 13th century. The Laubenhof with its arcades and several stucco ceilings from the 18th century are well worth seeing.
