It is not only a worthwhile “destination”, but also a great place for a longer rest. In summer there is enough shade under the trees here.

Attention: The path between the two lakes was almost impassable today (6/2/23). There were deep tractor tracks in many places, probably due to the fact that it had been very damp here for weeks beforehand. It is possible that these tractor gullies were created when the farmer mowed the field, because everything was covered with hay, so potholes and gullies were often only noticed when it was already too late to avoid them.

Nice starting point to hike to the Ronneburg. Parking only possible on the way. Very meticulous pond owner.

The approximately one-hectare pond is picturesquely situated in a meadow landscape used for agriculture. It is privately owned and is apparently used for fish farming. Swimming or water sports is therefore not possible, but enjoying the beautiful sight is definitely allowed.
