Simply a great landscape with steep cliffs on both sides of the gently flowing Pegnitz and the two old railway bridges. Unless a train is passing by, it really is a quiet, scenic route.

Very nice valley, but avoid it on the weekend, especially during the motorcycle season, the road is very close next to the bike and hiking trail, which is also very crowded on the weekend. Therefore: something for during the week.
