It is not clear whether this is a shelter or a former bunker. It is located somewhat inconspicuously on the edge of the path or forest and is probably used as a shelter from time to time.

Opening times Open: Oct.–March: Saturday and public holidays 1 p.m.–6 p.m.; Apr.–Sept.: Saturday 1 p.m.–6 p.m., Sunday and public holidays 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Overnight stays only possible for groups from Ansbach and the surrounding area. House description The house is located in a landscape conservation area 470 m above sea level and has a cozy guest room and a beautiful sun terrace.

On particularly clear days with a foehn wind, the Alpine range can be clearly seen with the naked eye from the Hesselberg.
