I went to the park for a walk. A beautiful green place offering great opportunities for walking, running, cycling and much more. there you can feed floating birds and fishing.

Brooklands Lake was once a sand and gravel pit but now a haven for wildlife and a lovely calm place for a walk. It is a popular place for fishing and bird watching alike.

Leybourne Lakes Country Park is a popular area for walking, with a number of guided trails and routes available. As you hike around here you're also likely to see a variety of watersports including open water swimming, stand up paddle boarding and windsurfing. It is an oasis of calm with plenty of wildlife and a dog friendly cafe.

Great area for a flat walk.

Higham lakes are a lovely spot in Higham Park's gardens. The regal estate, created in 1320, was home to the De Hegham family for many years. Various legendary guests have visited Higham including Jane Austen, Ian Fleming, General Charles de Gaulle, and even Mozart.

Get place to walk the dog or for watersports!

Cliffe Pools Nature Reserve boasts open horizons, expansive views and, of course, plenty of birdlife. Keep a look-out for bird species, including avocet, lapwing, little egret, cuckoo, and more. There are a number of nature trails around the reserve and many great viewpoints which let you gaze over the pools, the river, and the wildlife.
