This old mine entrance is rarher overgrown and just off the main track, so may easily be missed. It is difficult to see how far the tunnel extends into the hillside. While yes he’d been very successful within these bored tunnels and had success in creating the quarried tunnels, yet the bore machine itself was far, far too difficult to even control and the whole operation was abandoned.
