Climb from Katlanovo towards Mladov reservoir. The climb is well paved for the first two thirds and then becomes a gravel path for about 2km. The descent is again well paved.

Fast growing outskirts along the main road, mostly seem to be financed with outside funding.

The minarets stand out from afar

The young country still has a long way to go in building national civic identity and pride. The wanton trashing of their own environment is a poor sign.

Great vistas open up into the valley at every turn of the road. Unfortunately at every turn also the piles of trash dumped by locals show their lack of civic respect and love for their own country

Fantastic views while climbing up from the south-bound freeway lanes frontage following the narrow Pcinja river, to the north-bound freeway lanes high above the lake. The pavement is poor in sections but pretty manageable with any bike.
