9月 4, 2025, Geirangerfjord
A good Geiranger insider tip is to cycle from Dalsnibba down to the fjord to enjoy the spectacular views along the way, rather than just looking from the skywalk. Discover famous waterfalls like "The Seven Sisters" and the Bridal Veil on a fjord boat cruise before cruise ships dock to experience the view without the large crowds. Explore the Flydalsjuvet viewpoint with its chair installation, or hike to the Homlongsætra mountain pasture for a different, lesser-known view of the fjord.

Geiranger, a town on Norway's famous Geirangerfjord, has a long history dating back to the Viking Age. Originally, Geiranger was a meeting and trading center for the inhabitants of the coastal fjords and the inland. Over time, the town developed into an important tourist destination, particularly due to steamship arrivals and the construction of the Geiranger Road.

A breathtaking natural spectacle. The paths to the viewing platforms and photo spots are well developed and easy to reach with sturdy shoes. A must-see.

6月 9, 2024, Old Road Through Måbødalen Gorge
Hello everyone, We were there yesterday - June 8th, 2024 - and walked the route. My conclusion: Gravel bike ✅ Trekking bike ✅ Hiking ✅ Road bike 😕, not recommended.

'Lyse' means light in Norwegian. In fact, when the sun shines, this is a clear fjord.

Fences are up again, but leave room for the bike. Ride at your own risk, the impacts of stones on the road are clearly visible. Cycle path ends at a construction site far before the Voringsfossen viewpoint. Until then you have to walk along the street. It's probably also banned because it's dangerous. Bike path is scenic, if you ignore the dangers.

7月 24, 2023, Vøringsfossen Waterfall
Located very close to the road, this waterfall is very popular with a height of 183m and a free fall of 145m. In recent years, a great deal has been done to make the surrounding area accessible to as many people as possible. As a supplement to the older viewing platforms on the hotel side of the waterfall, since 2022 there has also been a spectacular bridge over the Bjoreio just before it falls into the depths and since 2022/23 there have been other viewing platforms on the other side, which are still being expanded. Accordingly, it can sometimes get quite crowded here, especially since many cruise and bus tourists stop. Sturdy shoes are recommended for those who want to explore all corners of the vantage points! The lower parking lot is currently (July 2023) completely closed due to construction work!

An absolute tip for a trip, in good and bad weather, sometimes the fog clears very quickly and you have a wonderful view of the waterfall.

7月 20, 2023, Gudbrandsjuvet Gorge
Gudbrandsjuvet is a 5 meter wide and 20-25 meter deep gorge carved by the Valldøla river. It is easily accessible on national road 63 between Valldal and Trollstigen and can be visited on secured paths and from a footbridge. The water here formed a system of deep glacial mills and bizarre formations. The gorge is about as deep below the water surface as above. (See visitnorway.de)
