A cozy hut near the Great Boot, perfect for a break after a climb. It offers benches, a lovely forest atmosphere, and occasionally drinks or snacks during events or on weekends. Ideal for a rest stop during hikes around the Great Boot—especially when the hut is open.

They are only open on Sundays, from 10am to 6pm, but then there are always small dishes and cakes that the club members have baked themselves

The Chalet Amis de la Nature Glück Auf Hütte is a mountain hut that follows the tradition of the Amis de la Nature (Friends of Nature). The Friends of Nature are an international movement committed to protecting the environment and promoting environmentally conscious tourism. The name "Glück Auf" comes from the miners' tradition and was a typical greeting in the mining industry that wished for prosperity and safety. Such huts often offer overnight accommodation and food for hikers and travelers and are located in scenic areas that invite outdoor activities such as hiking and relaxation.

This rustic hut of the PWV St. Ingbert was built in 1912 (see door lintel). About the name: Heinrich Kohl (*01.12.1873; +06.11.1936) from Neustadt/Weinstr. was a pioneer and very active co-founder of the PWV (in 1902). At that time, the forest area of the Kingdom of Bavaria on the left bank of the Rhine included not only the Palatinate, but also parts of what is now Saarland.
