Be sure to buy cheese, sausage, jam, etc.

It's always nice to have breakfast here, either at the beginning of the tour or to buy everything you need at the end of the tour and then enjoy a leisurely meal on the meadow. Note: Bread is only available in summer (whenever that starts) – so shop beforehand either in Lembach or Philippsbourg!

It's a shame that the goats are no longer there and can roam freely. They were always nice encounters.

If you take a break, you won't rust here, but will find a great location. It's worth stopping by even with kids.

To the right of the hiking lodge (near the fire pond) is the "Jahn Oak" (marked with a corresponding stone). This old oak was named after Friedrich Ludwig Jahn (1778 - 1852), better known as "Turnvater Jahn". There is also a memorial stone here to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of "Turnvater Jahn".

It is possible to run the system from outside. This is free and takes place via normal hiking trails. Viewing the inside costs a small fee and is highly recommended. Reservation is recommended.
