The Guadanuño Reservoir is located on the Guadanuño River bed forming part of the municipalities of Obejo, Córdoba and Villaviciosa de Córdoba, in the province of Córdoba.

From the viewpoint of the Roman Empire, in the heart of the urban center of Montoro, there is a beautiful view of the Guadalquivir and the Retamar neighborhood. This beautiful river meanders, leaving green slopes on each bank, in such a way that it contrasts with the white houses that crowd the background.

From this point you can get a small panoramic view of the Guadanuño reservoir, located next to Estación de Obejo, a small population center belonging to Obejo. The dam is built on the river of the same name, which belongs to the Guadalquivir hydrographic basin.

It is one of the two municipalities that give its name to the Sierra de Cardeña y Montoro Natural Park. It is located around a meander of the Guadalquivir river, which since 2013 has the category of natural monument.

Agallarín is a town designed from scratch, projected by the INC (National Institute of Colonization) and carried out by the architect Carlos Arniches Moltó. The settlers had to live badly in some barracks close to the construction of the town but later they had a house and land to farm with animals, paying rent after which, after between 15 and 40 years, they were entitled to property.

The great meander of the Guadalquivir river that surrounds this town makes it one of the most picturesque in the province of Córdoba. The calm of the river waters often makes it easier for the town to be reflected in them.
