An absolute highlight for me as a touring biker. Not a downhill route just for 160mm wheels, but a beautiful flow trail that's even manageable with a hardtail. But please note, the trail is S2, so you should be used to that. We rode the Längenegg loop from Näfels and added this trail at the end. A real highlight with our 1700m of climbing in our legs.

Depending on the conditions and obstacles, you might have to dismount for a short time. I didn't see any no-entry signs...?

A new trail has been completed and bypasses the marshy meadow. Now everything is accessible in both directions. (S1-S2)

Driving is prohibited here. I was stopped yesterday and narrowly escaped with a 200-franc fine. Warning signs are posted!

The lower part of the trail is closed, diversion signposted. This path is quite steep and rough (especially when wet), is classified as mountain hiking trail T2, and can only be done with good surefootedness! It is also a rather tricky bike DH, so it is partly worn out and muddy.

Sorry, but we should definitely avoid this single trail Nature reserve with sensitive fauna/flora

Very great and long flow trail, quite easy to ride. Quite good grip when wet, the upper part like new (09.02.2024) a little rougher further down and probably used more often, but still fun. Thank you Glarner for the great line
