On the Swiss side, the cycle path runs along the railway a lot, which makes it a bit monotonous

Beautiful views of the lake with lots of things to see and do! Bike paths are generally very well-maintained, and separated from street traffic (usually), so you can enjoy the scenery without too much stress.

On my second "Around Germany" cycling trip (this time going left-handed), I cycled along the Swiss side of Lake Constance. Even though the bike paths were consistently beautiful, most of the route was boring – the German side of the Lake Constance Cycle Route is much more varied and beautiful.

Nice and quiet location for barbecuing and relaxing, especially in summer when it's extremely hot.
