The only signposted hiking trail that I discovered on my hike. Located close to the lake, it is ideal for a relaxing stroll. But be careful: at one point you have to cross the main road.

The privately owned Wardersee is drained by the Trave, which is its largest tributary. From there, the Trave leads in a wide curve to Bad Segeberg. Gentle hills on both sides lead into the characteristic Travel landscape. The appeal of the Trave lies in its versatility. It rises in the area of the Holstein lakes south of Eutin and is connected to the Great Plöner See by the Berliner Au and several smaller lakes.

This is a dedicated street for pedestrians and cyclists only, I assume the old federal highway. The new one runs next to it, separated by bushes! Despite the proximity to the new road, the thing is really fun here, you can just really roll on good asphalt!

Located directly on the busy B432, you don't have to take it with you. The northern as well as the longer southern route around the Wardersee are IMHO more pleasant to drive.
