The Balaine Arboretum is the oldest private botanical and floral park in France. This 20-hectare park was created in 1804 by Aglaë Adanson, a passionate botanist and daughter of the famous Michel Adanson. You can also discover the elegant English garden, the vegetable garden and the charming brick castle inhabited by the same family for seven generations. Fleury-sur-Loire has a very interesting Romanesque church. Endowed with a barrel-vaulted nave, a barrel-vaulted transept and choir and an apse in a cul-de-four, this church also has a very beautiful bell tower, some of whose arches surmounting the twin bays present a decoration of sawtooth. The apparatus of the apse, on the outside, presents various lapidary marks (it's up to you to spot them), in particular crosses.

The city lies on the river Loire, directly at the confluence of the right tributary Aron. The Canal du Nivernais, which has overcome the Morvan mountains starting from Auxerre, also flows directly next to it. After crossing the Loire, which is navigable here for about two kilometers, watercraft find a connection to the Canal latéral à la Loire (Wikipedia), which runs south of the Loire.
