The terrain is steep and slippery in places. I recommend sturdy shoes even if you are "just" going to the beach. There is hardly any shade.

The Chiaramontano Castle of Montechiaro is the only one that overlooks the sea. All the other Chiaramonte castles are in the internal areas of Sicily. Its beauty is moving and the noise under the cliff is poignant.

The construction of this castle dates back to the fourteenth century. It stands in a dominant and strategic position, on top of a rocky ridge near the sea.

A place that can be reached by bike. Crazy colors, with the white of the rock and the blue of the sea there is a perfect mix!
