The Bergisch sunbed

A nice place to cool off in summer

The "Echo" on the Aggertalsperre dam wall is a work of art by the Spanish artist collective Boa Mistura, created as part of REGIONALE 2025. Only half of the lettering is glued to the wall, so the word "ECHO" only becomes fully visible when reflected in the water. The installation, consisting of giant white letters, is intended to create a connection to water and encourage people to reflect on nature and resources.

Beautifully located and a great place to stop for a bite to eat. You can sit outside in a comfortable, sheltered spot. The food is delicious! It's worth it.

View from the dam

If you take the path to the left behind the bridge, cross it, and at the end of the bridge, turn left again up the hill, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful forest path. Once you've crossed it, you'll automatically be redirected to the bike path.
