Very nice hike. You should wear good shoes and definitely use hiking poles. It goes up and down and sometimes high above the lake on narrow paths. Wonderful!

Enjoy the trip up to Druidale, it's very steep (up to 16%), but the views are awesome. The ride from St Johns takes you on the Heritage Trail - it's well levelled gravel. Don't forget to have a kipper bap at the fish bar on the promenade! That's my mandatory pit stop!

Glen Maye is part of the Raad Ny Foillan. It was quite a spooky area when I was there and you could feel the drama and elegance of this Glen.
