In the forest between Tejn and Gudhjem, a steep segment will test even the stronger legs, with gradients in double digits. However, the segment is not long and it's located under beautiful trees.

If you're just expecting the waterfall in Dondalen, you'll also find the trees to be quite something. The things that grow here, and are allowed to grow (elsewhere, chainsaws are allowed to do more), are simply beautiful to behold.

You can always find a free spot here at the campsite (a bit tight for campers). But you shouldn't forget to take a short walk along the beach. There is no or poor GPS reception directly in Döndal, so it's important to plan your route carefully beforehand. If you leave the valley by climbing, you should look for official paths or roads to get back down if you don't want to go back the same way.
