新しく形成されたペナイン・ゲートウェイ国立自然保護区の一部。ほとんどの人がイルクリー・ムーアと呼ぶものの、まさにその頂上。ヨークシャーの国歌「イルクリー・ムーア・バート・アット」にあるように、アヒルがサッカーをする場所だと言う人もいます。また、ロンバルドは巨人であり、近くの牛と子牛の岩は、巨人が岩を投げ回った結果だという説もあります！さらに奇妙なことに、ここでもUFOの目撃情報があったそうなので、ご注意ください。安全にお過ごしください。

この石は頑丈なフェンスに囲まれているため、見逃すことはできません。石の一部には地衣類が成長しており、模様の一部が見えにくくなっていますが、その歴史的重要性から訪問を思いとどまらせるものではありません。

南ペナイン山脈には6つの石があり、マーズデンから始まりイルクリーでのディンで終わる50マイルの散歩で訪れることができます。石のうち3つはイルクリームーアにあります。今回は乾燥していたため、詩に添える水たまりはありませんでしたが、冬にはこれらの石が水の下になり、簡単に見逃される可能性があると想像します。
