Graig Llech Woods occupy the wooded gorge carved by the Nant Llech, as it makes its way to join the River Tawe. The trail through the woods leads to one of South Wales' most spectacular waterfalls, Henrhyd. This 90-foot (27 m) cascade was used as the entrance to the Bat Cave in Christopher Nolan's 2012 blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises.

Tucked away in a dreamy, isolated location in the upper Swansea Valley, Craig-y-nos Country Park is a gorgouous 40-acre park that was once owned by Adelina Patti. Now it is a Victorian garden set in woodlands, surrounded by meadows and ponds, dissected by the River Tawe. It is in a gorgeous location, and there is a great cafe there to boot.

To its west is a 426-metre-high (1,398 ft) rounded top at SN 829144 which lies just to the northwest of a mile-long ridge that forms the main bulk of the hill. The ridge attains a height of 423 m (1,388 ft) at its southwest end and this spot is marked by a trig point

Henrhyd Falls, in the Brecon Beacons National Park, is the tallest waterfall in South Wales with a drop of 90 feet (27 m). It lies on National Trust land, in the traditional county of Brecknockshire. The nearest settlement to it is Coelbren, on the road between Glynneath and Abercraf.

I approached to realise the trig point for surprise as I’d made a Bee line for the giants head!! Absolutely stunning hike!!

Most famous for the bat mobile hide out for the bat man film night rider 2012! This is one of many few you can walk behind to get that wet experience!

Abandoned limestone quarry, which operated from c. 1870 to c. 1950 and was the source of subsistence for the nearby hamlet of Penwyllt. The quarry was the reason why there was a train connection (stopped in 1962), shops (now there is no trace of commercial activity left), ... The end of the quarry also meant the end of the village community. The only group of houses still in use are in Powell Street and house the headquarters of the South Wales Caving Club. The site is not accessible. The mobile cafe near the car park at the start of the walk down to Henrhyd Falls. They serve snacks, ice cream, burgers, and drinks. Camping is also available. Open every day.
