The Torre d'Homenatge is the most striking surviving tower of the Castell d'Alaró on Mallorca. Dating from the early 14th century, it was completed between 1319 and 1320 and served as the main entrance to the castle. It was also the residence of the Castellan, the commander of the fortress. The tower is particularly windy and exposed on the ridge of the castle complex. Hikers who spend a long time there, especially during cool winds from the north or west, are prone to chills. This gave rise to the local joke that one "catches a cold" there, which is why the tower is popularly known as "es Constipador."

May 2025 the final down section is still 'difficult '. There is an alternative path that leads to a small road which in turn leads back into town. A nice walk.

The second half of the circular route is still not recommended. From the goat farm onwards, it's very difficult to stay on the path because you simply can't recognize it anymore. The descent to Alaró is too dangerous in my opinion. Therefore, I can't recommend the second part of the circular route.

From our starting point in Galilea, I can only recommend everyone to take a Tramuntana tour. We did it in 8 days, but you should allow more time to absorb all the impressions.
