The Etang Saint-Ladre Nature Reserve in Boves is located near Amiens, in the Avre Valley, a tributary of the Somme River. In 1979, it became the first site in Picardy to be designated a state-owned nature reserve. The ecological management implemented since the 1990s has allowed the development of a complex mosaic of habitats, among the most representative of alkaline peatland systems, supporting characteristic, and often heritage, flora and fauna. Easy-going path with few people

Beautiful path along the Somme which allows you to enter or leave Amiens without crossing any cars! The landscape is absolutely beautiful, thank you to Philippe for showing me this part of the Amiens region.

Grove Town Cemetery in Méaulte contains 1,392 graves: 1,365 British, 12 Canadian, 14 Australian, and 1 New Zealander. In September 1916, during the Battle of the Somme, two dressing stations were established at this site, which was known to the troops as Grove Town (grove = grove / town = town), where those who did not survive their wounds were buried until April 1917. In August and September 1918, following the victorious Allied counteroffensive, other bodies were also buried in this cemetery.
