A quiet and peaceful valley no traffic noise feels very remote and a gorgeous view

Cowley Wood is a pretty woodland located just outside the village of Cowley in the heart of the Cotswolds. The woods are only small but provide the perfect location for a leisurely stroll with opportunities to discover a seasonal display of bluebells.

Cowley is a quintessential Cotswold village oozing charm and beauty. You can discover a number of picturesque stone cottages, a grand country estate, and a network of beautiful walking trails.

Steep at the bottom easing off for the middle section and then ramping up again at the top section. A good climb on good road surface.

The manor has since been taken over by The Experimental Group. Within the next 5 months, it will be refurbished entirely. A little bittersweet! But we're looking forward to seeing the changes.

Best cider ever

Good food, beautiful location next to the river, indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent for fuel before Withington hill.
