Boundary Wood is a lovely gravel section of NCN 6 that cuts through an 85-hectare (210 acres) woodland near Blidworth, managed by Forestry England. It features a mix of young broadleaf trees, conifers, wildflower meadows and a small pond. It’s a great spot for year-round wildlife watching.

Part of the Robin Hood Way & National Cycle Route 6 this gravel road makes a great link between Harlow Wood and Blidworth Wood via Beck Lane

In 1890 Rainworth's first church, a wooden building was built. However it was later replaced by a brick building which was opened on the festival day of St Simon and St Jude in 1939.

At the junction of Rufford Colliery lane and Kirklington Road in Rainworth is this fine memorial to all that gave their lives whilst working at the mine.

Nice looking church in Rainworth with a splendid memorial to the fallen. The foundation stone for this brick church was laid on 23rd July 1938. The building was completed in 1939, and replaced an earlier, temporary structure. The architect was C E Howitt of Nottingham.
