Stopped in at the Harry Potter store and bought a little journal.

From Elizabeth Gardens, (Opened in the early 1960s to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Elizabeth Gardens is one of Salisbury’s most cherished and celebrated parks.) It' just a five-minute stroll from Salisbury train station, you can enjoy a scenic walk through the water meadows, with views of the cathedral along the way. Elizabeth Gardens is a lovely Park with a large playground, kids love to play or jump over to this small "island" in the river Avon.

Yes it’s a bench (for a very welcome sit down), and yes there’s a very distant view of the spire but I can’t recommend you (as I did) set this bench as a walk’s destination!

Follow the path next to the river from weatherspoons

This is a beautiful riverside park with splendid views towards Salisbury Cathedral. Created in the early 1960s to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, it's been a popular spot for locals ever since. You can run through the park to pick up the Town Path, which ventures across Salisbury's water meadows to the suburb of Harnham.

The Poultry Cross is a listed market cross in Salisbury. The Poultry Cross dates back to the 14th century. It was one of four market crosses in Salisbury, each of which marked the location of markets. In addition to the poultry cross, there was also one for cheese, one for livestock and one for wool and yarn. The first documented mention dates back to 1307, although the name Poultry Cross is only known from around 100 years later. In addition to poultry, fruit and vegetables were also traded here. In the middle of the nave is the large baptismal font with constantly flowing water. It was created in 2008 by designer William Pye. The windows on the opposite side are reflected on the water surface of the baptismal font.
