ハートリーでの 周辺の簡単なハイキングとウォーキング

This quaint village dates back to the Roman and Saxon era. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book and has a number of historic buildings including Farningham Mill, a former water mill, and a church that dates back to the 13th century. There is also a local pub, tea room and independent shops.

On the river darent

Ashenbank Woods, just north of the village of Cobham, are a beautiful place for a stroll. The woods feature of mixture of deciduous and evergreen trees such as oak, hazel, and holly, and, in the spring months, display a beautiful understory of bluebells. There is also an ancient burial ground, WW2 bunker, and many different bird species to discover.

Two sculptures stand tall either side of the pathway, creating a lovely scene as you make your way through the park.

There is a nice picnic area to the side of the lake with tables and benches.

Lovely little village to cycle through

The white houses in the background are interesting. I've heard storys linking these to early American houses. We are about 2 miles from Brands Hatch, on race days you can hear the motors.

This bunker was used by the RAF during the war and was inhabited by civilians after the war.
