I find it safe to lock my bike in the market square. They are visible from the cafe windows and the entrance to the fish and chip shop. It gives a bit of peace of mind.

Do not do this trail as a bridge across a river was no longer there. We had to turn back

Fairly popular cafe for Salcey Forest walkers and wheelers alike. Plenty of outdoor seating for nice days (or if you're a bit muddy from the forest!) and there's a bike hire centre too. https://groundscafe.uk/salcey/

Cycle off the High Street to the Rugby club, signposted Sports area.

A lovely coffee and exceptional cannoli. There is a cycle rack across the road in the market carpark, which is visible from the cafe tables on the street. I will be returning here again :)

NOTE: The treetop walkway has not been available since May 2018, when the engineers who ensure the safety of this feature deemed it unsafe. Forestry England remain hopeful that they can secure funding to get part of this popular attraction reinstated.
