One of the nicer places around, we really want it.

Appledore is a beautiful coastal village characterised by its winding narrow streets, colourful houses, and rich maritime history. The village is located on the banks of the River Torridge and provides some excellent views across the crystal clear water toward Instow on the other side. The village features a number of fantastic pubs, restaurants, and cafés, as well as some shops, two churches, and a ferry port which can take you to Instow.

At low tide, you can walk along the beach here on the banks of the River Torridge. The views here across the river are wonderful.

Best at sunrise, but lovely views down the river at all times.

Stop for a Hockings ice cream on the beach.
