11月 22, 2024, Gravel Track by Livermere Lake
Lots of different types of terrain to learn, pay attention to some of the forest turns not all are obvious, few lift your bike over log sections, one built for short people section but fun, watch your head;-). Beware of a couple of very bust main road crossings!!! This time of year give yourself time, lights and toes and fingers need warmth. Shout out to 'Wolf Way' for the route;-)

4月 9, 2023, Peddars Way Wooden Bridge and River Access
There is a bridge here over the water so you can continue along Peddars Way. There is also access to the river (easier to access from the Knettishall side). It is a great and safe place to let your dogs into the river for a play. We take our dogs here for their first paddle

8月 22, 2022, Knettishall Heath Nature Reserve
Knettishall Heath nature reserve covers about 430 acres (174 hectares) and also includes woodland and riverside meadows, as well as large areas of heath. In season, there is a visitor welcome and cafe van in the car park every Wed-Sun plus bank holidays 10am-4pm. If you go early in the morning, you're likely to find the ponies grazing much closer to the road.

2月 3, 2022, Gravel Track by Livermere Lake
Not 100% sure the cut through from Ampton to Gt Livermere is a legit cycle trail. I was chased off by a very grumpy gamekeeper who told me it was a footpath not a bridleway.

Where the Angles Way and Icknield Way meet King’s Forest, you have a perfect opportunity to pause and admire the classic Brecks landscapes. North, you have seemingly endless arable fields unrolling before you with crops like wheat sunning themselves in the dry micro-climate of this region. To the south, the enormous King’s Forest lies in carefully planned plantations. Here live fallow deer as well as numerous types of butterfly. This junction of paths provides a wonderful example of how humans have shaped this ancient land through farming and forestry management.

12月 19, 2019, Peddars Way Trail
This is the start of the Peddars Way, a 46 mile (74 km) long distance hiking and cycling trail from near Thetford close to the Norfolk/Suffolk border, to the North Norfolk coast at Hunstanton. Mostly following ancient Roman routes, the trail has the characteristic straight trajectory that’s associated with this era. The Peddars Way is for you if you love wildlife, history and the great British Countryside, which it has all three in spades. Explore ancient castles and ruins, look out for wildlife among glacial wetlands and coastal marshes and enjoy the expansive arable landscape that’s so typical of this county.

1月 11, 2019, Start of the Peddars Way
This is the start of the Peddars Way. The iconic trail follows a Roman road that was built along the line of an even older trackway. Combined with the Norfolk Coast Path, it forms the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path National Trail, one of the 15 National Trails in England and Wales.
