You can ride underneath the northern side of the bridge to avoid crossing the road!

There is plenty of parking here, it's advised not to park on the pub car park unless you are going to be a customer. if you are intending to use the pub after your walk, you should be able to use their car park I would just let them know.

Great pub for traditional nicely cooked food & well kept Ales. There's a large carpark plus an outdoor children's play area. A great place to start & finish walks in either direction along the River Weaver Navigation.

Acton Swing Bridge spans 272 feet (83.5 m) across the River Weaver. Opened in 1933, the bridge carries the A49 over the river. Today's bridge replaced an older stone bridge at a cost of £52,000. The first bridge dated back to 1751. The iconic steel bridge was based on designs created in 1893 by John Arthur Saner.
