As well as good selection of filled jacket potatoes and sandwiches, lunch also includes specials each day. Very dog friendly, they have an area of tables by the bar that is hard floor where dogs are welcome, bowls of water bought to the tables. The beer was good too

Seemed to be quite popular with dog walkers.

Strangely stumbled across this place as was driving to another location. So glad I turned off road and followed the sign to it.

This place is steeped in history. Built 2500 years ago and occupied for nearly 500 years. With the ramparts still very visible. Some lovely views form the top.

Friendly pub with bike-friendly beer garden. Open every day for lunch and every evening apart from Sunday.

400m cycle up from road over two cattle grids to the small visitor's car park and then a 200m walk up the grassed chalk slope to the disused OS trig point for the view north in the photo. The hill fort is another 200m on beyond the trig point. Visitor building and toilets currently closed.
