This bothy is great! There’s a toilet…! A tiny kitchen…! Running water (I’d filter and boil, and add chlorine tablets!). It’s palatial! lol

Tŷ’n-y-cornel meaning ‘house in the corner’ is said to be the most remote hostel in Wales. The bench outside the hostel is dedicated to Tony Drake, the creator of the Cambrian Way.

Does anyone know if there is phone signal or phone internet connection 📶 at this bothy?

When we arrived, the house was already occupied by a group of hippies. We were still warmly welcomed. Unfortunately, a group of hikers who arrived later had to sleep outside in tents - in November!

A wonderful bothy. Quite close to a road though!

A delightful Welsh bothy that feels more like a cottage than most free shelters, with a living room with woodburner downstairs, cosy bedrooms upstairs and an outdoor loo.

An Elenydd Wilderness Hostel. A simple and friendly hostel, hidden away in it's own secluded valley. Hot showers, loads of bunk beds and self catering kitchen. A really lovely place to stay.
