A few options to get up to this little piece of quiet, plenty of places to stop and take in the views and contemplate. If you’re lucky enough to be up there when they’re ringing the bells you’re in for a treat! Out of this world. 💚

At this time of year (April) you’ll be greeted with a carpet of beautiful bluebells, a pleasant surprise for those less familiar with the hill. I wouldn’t try walking through in the wetter months as you’ll see from the paths gnarly finish.

This is one of the smaller hills in this area but still has some good views from the top. Views of the Malvern hills, Coopers hill & Chosen hill

Once used as a training base for pilots in the Second World War, Gloucester airport is now mainly used for business and training flights. As a footpath traverses the south western edge of the site, it's easy to watch planes take off and land, most of which are small aircraft. There's an aviation museum onsite, well worth visiting if you'd like to see retired aircraft and to learn more about the airfield.

At the end of your walk at the top of the hill you are greeted by the site of St Bartholomew's church over looking the surrounding areas of Gloucestershire. The church stands 511ft above sea leave and sits on a site of an Iron Age Camp, and an area that has been used from the Bronze Age or even earlier.
