This was a fun section of singletrack to ride into Graveley, along fields and through bits of woodland, with a couple of ascents and descents.

Great cafe run by nice couple. It's in an an alley off High Street and has outside seating and places for bikes. Single toilet clean but a bit tired. I like the breakfast baguette with sausage egg and bacon its a complete meal and inexpensive. Recommended stop for cyclists or walkers in Huntingdon. Oh yes cakes look good too.

Being here three times in the nice weather, I consider this a place where you can reset yourself after your daily routine or others, where you can sit and listen to the seagulls and the geese and any other sound. In the evening the sunset was so astonishing during the summer. I understood the place was becoming muddy after a few days of rain.

There’s a couple of cafes and a Co-op, otherwise not too much to write home about. Despite a lot of old half timbered buildings it’s not the most scenic town.

Nice view of Godmanchester’s best known landmark from the road beside the river. Only visible if you’re riding north.

Like many nature reserves in England, Godmanchester Nature Reserve was once gravel pits. The peaceful nature could not be further away from its industrial history. Keep an eye out for songbirds, ducks, geese, kingfishers and overwintering wildfowl as you run through.

The town of Godmanchester is siutated on lovely spot on the River Great Ouse, close to Huntingdon. Portholme to the North-West of the town is England's largest meadow.

The town of Godmanchester occupies a lovely spot on the River Great Ouse, on the opposite side to Huntingdon. Historically prosperous due to its position on the Roman Road from London to York, today it enjoys its tranquil riverside setting, with many nearby nature reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. Both the Ouse Valley Way and Pathfinder Long Distance Walk pass through the town.
