The Tormes River is a tributary of the Duero on its left bank, it runs through the Community of Castilla y León, crossing the provinces of Ávila, Salamanca and Zamora. The Tormes rises in the Tormejón meadow, in the Gredos mountain range. It feeds several reservoirs, the Santa Teresa and Villagonzalo reservoirs, the San Fernando reservoir and, close to its mouth in the Duero, the Almendra reservoir, where, sandwiched between rock walls, it forms the so-called arribes del Tormes.

Small natural pool located on the Tormes River, between Hoyos del Espino and the Gredos Platform. In its surroundings, it has various parking lots, camping and a bar. Ideal for a picnic or simply resting during the route.

It is a charming town in the Sierra de Gredos, located south of the Los Galayos gorge. Perfect as a base for exploring these alpine landscapes, it is also worth a brief visit for its narrow, cobbled streets.

On the banks of the Tormes River, surrounded by a pine forest, the Hoyos del Espino Natural Pool is a must-see on a warm summer day. Please check local information for opening hours.

A small town in the Tormes valley and one of the most direct accesses to the Sierra de Gredos Natural Park. As such, the city is very well positioned to support adventure tourism, with many campsites, hotels and restaurants. A great place to prepare for your hike.

This fountain, located about 3 kilometers from the town of Candeleda if we are going up the path that enters the Regional Park, is an ideal point to take a short break and stock up on water for the rest of the route.
