The Caledonia Falls in Cyprus are located near the village of Platres in Troodos. This beautiful waterfall is one of the highest in Cyprus and is surrounded by forest and is most popular in summer when it offers a cool and shady retreat from the strong midday sun. It was a nice short hike.

The waterfall itself is not terribly impressive, but the short hike to get there is a nice one with lots of shade. Can get quite crowded, we were glad we combined it with the beautiful Pouziaris Hike nearby where we only ran into one other group on the whole trail (and they had gotten lost looking for the waterfall...)

Local legends! If you want to rent a bike, a private tour or participate in a well organised event, they are your partner. Very good knowledge of bikerides in Cyprus on road, MTB and in particular gravel.

Here is the start and end of the Artemis Trail (7km circular hike). There is space to park a car, coming by bus you would have to walk from Troodos. There are no water sources or toilets. Along the path there are many benches. The path is rocky but otherwise easy-going and wide enough to walk comfortably without any steep drops. There is an info board and you can walk the path in either direction, I would suggest walking clockwise as this is the direction of the mile markers.
