The Odense Å is a river steeped in history and beauty. A magnificent piece of nature in the middle of the city. It is 54 kilometres long in total and winds its way through the idyllic landscape of Funen. The first boat traffic on the river dates back to 1882. Here at the bridge, you can watch the river flow for a moment.

Keld Moseholm's (1936 -) sculpture is based on the fairy tale "The Emperor's New Clothes" and you can almost hear the little boy crying "But he's not wearing anything!" as the emperor looks at himself in the mirror. The sculpture depicts the emperor with his crown and scepter, the tailor and a representative of the royal court, all looking at the emperor's new clothes. If you look closely at the emperor's posture, you can sense a hint of fear, as he cannot see the cloth and therefore believes that he must be stupid, according to the two con artists who made the clothes. The sculpture is made of bronze, with a large stainless steel mirror on the wall, placed on a three-tiered, high stone pedestal. Keld Moseholm is known for his small, round figures, often in a helpless situation against nature or power. It is no coincidence that the emperor is depicted in this form, struggling with his own vanity. This sculpture was unveiled in 1988 as the first in a series inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. Keld Moseholm graduated from the Funen Art Academy and the Copenhagen Art Academy, where he was an apprentice of Gottfred Eickhoff. Since the 1980s, he has created several pieces featuring the characteristic small, round figures. The combination of the incalculable task facing humanity with its friendly, humorous, and somewhat satirical expression has made it very popular. The "Havhesten" (Seahorse) is a famous sculpture and fountain in Odense. Located at the entrance to Munke Mose Park, directly on the banks of the Odense River (near the Slusebroen, or Lock Bridge), it depicts a powerful, snorting mythical creature with the upper body of a horse and a mermaid on its back. The sculpture is made of bronze. Created by the Danish sculptor Carl Hugo Liisberg, the artwork was erected in 1939. The sculpture is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's play "Agnete and the Water Sprite," specifically by Agnete's lullaby, which was part of one of Andersen's more dramatic poems. The figure symbolizes the connection between humans and the mythical creatures of the water. The sculpture is a popular attraction in Munke Mose and a distinctive landmark of the city.

Munke Mose is a large, popular park in the heart of Odense, offering many recreational opportunities. One of these is a water playground, which is especially popular with children. The playground is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales and features elements reminiscent of nature, such as large butterflies, tree stumps, and ducks. The playground includes a small water play area where children can play with the stream of water. It is designed for balancing on large lily pads or sliding down a slide. The water features are part of a larger playground area in the park, ideal for families. The park itself is located on the Odense Å River and also offers the opportunity to go canoeing or pedal boating.
