The Dellwiger Bachtal nature reserve is located in the western part of Dortmund, in the Lütgendortmund district. It covers an area of approximately 112 hectares and was legally protected in 1996. This area offers many small paths to explore, leading through dense mixed forest and small streams.

The Pferdestall restaurant is highly recommended. The ambiance and the food itself are very, very good. If you reserve a table at the Pferdestall, you can even move freely around the mine grounds. You are not allowed to enter the exhibitions.
