At this point, most of the water is diverted from the Würm and now flows in the Würm Canal to Schleissheim in order to supply the canals in the palace park with sufficient water. The Würm Canal is thus part of the north Munich canal system that connects the Wittelsbach residences in Schleißheim, Dachau and Nymphenburg via landscaped waterways.

If you have the time, it is worth taking a short break. However, the lake is very busy. There is only an asphalt road from the south to the lake, to the north or around the lake there are only gravel roads.
