Location on the outskirts of Dautzschen This covered bench-table combination is located on the edge or at the border of the Annaburger Heide training ground not far from the village of Dautzschen! Signs in the immediate vicinity refer to the military security area, do not leave the paths under any circumstances, danger to life!

The parish states on an information board on the enclosure of the building that it was created between 1150 and 1200. While the nave was mainly built of bricks, the church tower is made of bog iron. The congregation therefore assumes that the tower was part of a fortification line along the Elbe and was therefore probably built in the 10th or 11th century. This tower has been increased by 1500. In 1637, badly damaged by fire in the Thirty Years' War, only the enclosing walls of the building were still standing. In 1716 lightning struck the reconstruction and again caused great damage. Craftsmen then erected three buttresses on the apse. In 1776 there was a fire in the tower. Both bells fell and melted. A year later, two new bronze bells that had been cast in Dresden came into the building. In 1842, significant renovations were carried out. The existing windows were enlarged and additional windows installed. In the second half of the 19th century the north side became dilapidated. It was secured in 1878 by three buttresses. In 1880 the organ builder Conrad Geißler from Eilenburg built an organ.
