Very generous scoops of ice cream

Hawkshead is another small touristy type village. Compact, close knit streets, cul-de-sacs, etc. Souvenir shops , pubs and restaurants are all located here. Good parking, toilets, signage of local areas are all there

This pub seems like a decent place to call in, despite the time of the year and weather conditions, there were people there. It is located in a quaint village with decent parking.

Great walk although can be quite busy with tourists along the lake

Lovely tarn to swim

One of my favourite places to ride to from Grizedale with some awesome bridleways near by. On a nice clear summers day this is an incredible place to stop for lunch, and it’s usually relatively quiet, obviously a little busier at the weekends. If you’re feeling brave go for a mid ride dip. The views are incredible and well worth it.

Super fun stretch with great views awesome on a hot day with a great swimming spot.

Amazing bridleway that links up the Sawreys to Claife Viewing Station and beyond!

This church was completed in 1869, and is still in use today rather than abandoned like most you see out in the sticks. Sawrey village and the area was once home to Beatrix Potter, and you can see many other things relating to that.

One of the best pubs around. Quality food and beer.
