It's really worth taking a little tour around Lake Werbelin as the lake is completely covered in asphalt and is very flat.

This rest area has been newly constructed. There is no need to carve anything on the benches and table. Two hearts will be enough now.

The Werbeliner See nature reserve is a beautiful destination. Here you can relax, unwind and make great nature observations. !BUT BE CAREFUL - THE LAKE IS NOT A SWIMMING LAKE! To protect the biodiversity that has developed here, leaving the paths and consequently swimming is not allowed in the 1500 hectare protected area. The nearby Schladitzer See is a good alternative for anyone looking for a place for water-based leisure activities. The area is one of the largest and most important nature reserves in Saxony. Special species such as wolves, sea eagles, otters, beavers and, above all, a nationally outstanding bird population have settled here.
