The most impressive ancient rock paintings on the Värikallio cliffs feature fascinating images of human figures and animals created by early Finnish artists 4,000 to 5,000 years ago. The paintings include stick figures, demonic horned figures, identifiable animals, and two impressive humanoid figures with large triangular heads, which also feature in the national park's logo. A walkway across the lake to the Värikallio cliffs gives visitors a great view of the paintings, which experts say may relate to hunting rituals or shamanistic ceremonies. (Source: ThisisFINLAND)
